Veszelyite - Dongchuan Copper Mine, China
One of the more uncommon species to cross my desk. Veszelyite. A Hydrous Copper Zinc Phosphate-Hydroxide. The find in 2025 in this Southern China mine near the city of Kunming ranks among the finest discoveries of the species, showing stunning colour and crystallisation. This intergrowth of crystals is quite large for the species - exposed from the Hemimorphite matrix between 8 and 10mm tall! Specimen comes mounted and labeled, and is a definite 'must have' for any reference collection of minerals.
