Pyromorphite - Daoping Mine, Guanxi, ChinaA textbook-perfect example of Pyromorphite, a Lead ChloroPhosphate, from the famous Daoping Mine near Guizhou, Guanxi Province, China. A subdued olive/apple-green color with clean and sharp crystal edges, faces, and terminations. The lighting setup for my photographs makes this specimen a little brighter than it is in-person. I do not edit my photos other than cropping and adding the text. Please understand that the colour of this specimen is a little more on the olive side of the spectrum, rather than the apple side. Specimen comes mounted and labeled. Ready for placement in your display cabinets.

Quartz - Shangbao Mine, Hunan, ChinaTerrific examples of common minerals from a seldom-seen locale - Quartz - SiO2. This specimen is from the Shangbao Mine in Hunan Province, China. A perfectly sided small cabinet specimen showing clear and aesthetic crystallization. Minor Pyrite associated. Specimen comes labeled, ready for your display.
Minerals
Quartz, Pyrite - Shangbao Mine, ChinaAn excellent example of crystallisation in a hydrothermal deposit. Heavier elements form molecules and crystallise out of solution as the temperatures and pressures drop. In this case, the Iron Sulfide Pyrite. Gleaming brass yellow isometric crystals are scattered along the outside edge of the contact zone, trapped within the forming Quartz matrix. As the geochemistry slowly changed and all the Iron Sulfides had formed, the remaining Silicon Dioxide continued to form and crystallise within a trapped gas pocket. The result is remarkable: Quartz crystals deposited on the surface of the Quartz/Pyrite matrix. A well-sized reference specimen that clearly shows a textbook example of a particular geological process. Specimen comes mounted and labeled, ready for your display.

Stibnite, Quartz - Xikuangshan Sb Deposit, ChinaA beautiful example of the primary ore of Antimony. This is Stibnite. A Sulfide of Antimony (Sb3O2), from what is arguably the largest deposit of Antimony on the planet. Lustrous metallic silver crystals protrude prominently from the surrounding Quartz. The Xikuangshan Sb Deposit is world-famous for producing the finest specimens of Stibnite since the major find in Japan nearly 100 years ago. This is an excellent reference specimen for the species, and an absolute delight in any display of fine mineral specimens. Specimen comes mounted and labeled, ready for your collection.

Tyuyamunite - Qinglong Mine, ChinaA very uncommon Hydrous Calcium Uranyl-Vanadate. Weakly fluorescent yellow under SW/UV lamps, and weakly fluorescent red under MW/UV lamps. From the big find in January 2026, this species is certain to draw the eyes of anyone checking out your collection. Minor Fluorite associated. Tyuyamunite naturally loses water molecules over time, becoming the mineral Metatyuyamunite. Tyuyamunite is naturally emissive. As with all naturally emissive specimens, it is not considered dangerous. It becomes dangerous after it is processed and refined. I still would not recommend licking or rubbing this specimen on your skin. Do wash your hands after handling this specimen. NearEarthExploration is not responsible for acts of idiocy or ignorance by any following person or entity after purchase. Shipping is done in accordance with US and International shipping laws, which require a 2cm air gap between the specimen and the outer packaging. Wolframite - Yaogangxian Mine, ChinaWolframite. Here's one most people don't see every day. An Iron, Manganese Tungstate, and the mineral that falls in between Ferberite and Hübnerite. An important ore material for Tungsten, most specimens of this species I have seen are only 'glassy' at the terminations. The 'sides' of the crystals are almost always 'satiny', and this one is no exception. A brilliant addition to any collection of fine minerals. Specimen comes mounted and labeled, ready for your display. www.facebook.com/nearearthexplor
